After a rough day scouring the beach for the wee-est, perfectest pebbles, you need a drink.
Take 2 parts grapefruit juice and 1 part gin and shake hard with ice in a cocktail shaker. Traditionally, this drink is served over ice in a highball glass, but you are not wearing a traditional ring. Salt the rim and serve in a lovely cocktail glass and you have a drink that is a sight for sore eyes.
Box ring; sterling silver

S A Z E R A C
1/4 teaspoon Absinthe (or Herbsaint or Pernod)
2 oz rye whiskey (like Old Overholt)
1 teaspoon sugar
3-4 dashes Peychaud's bitters
This drink is traditionally served in an old fashioned glass; I prefer almost everything (including this drink) in a cocktail glass. Perhaps someday I'll come around. Pour the absinthe into the glass and swirl to coat the sides. Some discard the remaining absinthe but I like to leave some and let it pool in the bottom of the glass. Stir the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes and strain into the glass. Twist a lemon peel so that the oils mist the top of the drink, then rub the peel around the rim; toss the spent peel aside. Go online. Book a flight to New Orleans.

G I N G E R L E M O N D R O P
2 parts vodka
1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 part cointreau
1/2 teaspoon sugar
fresh ginger slices
When you are wearing a fluffy feathery ring, things happen. In this case, ginger slices get muddled with sugar in the bottom of a shaker cup. Strong, sour, and sweet are added and vigorously shaken. The fanciest cocktail glass in the house is procured and its rim dipped in gingered sugar. None of this has to be done by you.
Fluffy ring; ss, peacock down

C H A M P A G N E C O C K T A I L
1 sugar cube
bitters
champagne
There is no shame in a champagne cocktail. Soak one sugar cube in bitters and drop it into the hollow of your champagne glass. Fill to the brim with champagne. It is bubbly, it is a lovely pale pink, it is delicious. It'll make you feel fuzzy.
Cashmere "pearl" ring; felted cashmere, ss

D E L I L A H
